Catalog
In this catalog, composers will be presented in alphabetical, with a non-exhausting listing of the works I find interesting to analyze. Informations will follow, indicating if there is an available manuscript, if the 8-string guitar can be used for some of the problems of the original score, offering solutions. At last, I will also add a new section, where the extra range of the 8-string guitar can be used to palliate some of the problems of the original score by using octaviation in the basses. This compromise will present alternatives that offer a new approach to the playing of the pieces while still keeping information from the original score that would otherwise be unplayable. The alternative choices are not final, and will be deemed justified (or not) in a different way depending of every artist's sensibility.
The ranking of the amount of changes will be the following: Low when only 1-2 occasions offer a possibility, Medium from 2 to 5 occasions, and High when higher than 5 specific spots can be 'improved'.
