Longtime friends, Nathan Andrien and Maxime Mazuyet have always been passionate about the classical guitar. Their duo, Les Sauvages, was therefore naturally created following the end of their studies, with the shared desire to promote the guitar and its repertoire.

Interested in all styles of music, they are motivated as much by contemporary creation as the study of early music in order to showcase all the richness and possibilities of their instrument. They do not hesitate to research or make arrangements of popular pieces themselves, with the desire to make the general public (re)discover classical music (Chopin, Debussy, Couperin, etc.). Their name, Les Sauvages, is inspired by the eponymous piece by Jean-Philippe Rameau, and fits precisely with this transcription perspective, since they made its arrangement themselves.

Their concert program is mainly focused on keyboard music, with the desire to show emblematic pieces from the harpsichord and piano repertoire in a different light, and to bring a personal touch to these great classics.
